What happens when you slow down before you eat?
One exercise that I practice a lot as a Food Illustrator is, well, drawing food. This started as a personal practice during a time when I felt very disconnected from my body and my plate. I was looking for something to help me feel grounded and centered during a time when I was experiencing a lot of stress and worry.
The solution that popped into my head on a particularly challenging day was,
So I started to draw an ear of corn. With each kernel, my stress subsided, and I was brought back into the beauty of the present moment.
